Landlord, tenant in court for raping 13-yr-old housemaid

These perverts, Ishola Idris and Linus Okonkwo are now cooling their heels in prison
A 51-year-old landlord, Ishola Idris and his 35-year-old tenant, Linus Okonkwo have been arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ikeja for allegedly turning a 13-year-old housemaid into their sex slave.

A landlord and his tenant have been arraigned at a Lagos court for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl on several occasions.

Punch reports that Idris and Okonkwo who were arraigned on two counts bordering on defilement and sexual assault, had repeatedly raped the girl who was living with her guardian on Celestial Road, Igando area of the state.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Simon Imhowa, the suspects committed the offences between January and August 2017.


Inspector Imhowa told the court that the victim’s father had received a call from the Idris asking him to come and take the child from the guardian because the latter wanted to use her for money rituals.

“The landlord called the victim’s father to come and pick her from the guardian because the latter want to use her for money ritual.

But on getting there, the father discovered that the landlord had been having sexual intercourse with the daughter since January 2017 till August 10, 2017, when he received the call from the landlord.

The victim also alleged that one of his guardian’s brothers, Linus, who was living in the house, had sexual intercourse with her in March 2017.

The landlord allegedly converted the victim to a sex tool and threatened to kill her if she informed anybody,” Inspector Imhowa said.

The two counts preferred against the accused read:

“That you, Ishola Idris, sometime in January 2017, on Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile one 13-year-old child (name withheld) by having sexual intercourse with her.

That you, Linus Okonkwo, sometime in March 2017, on Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully sexually assault one 13-year -old by penetrating into her private parts.”

When the charges were read to the suspects, they both pleaded not guilty and the presiding judge, Magistrate Bolanle Osunsanmi granted each of them bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties each in like sum while ordering that they remain in prison pending when they will meet their bail conditions.

The case was adjourned until October 12, 2017, for trial.
